The NGA.NET data centre has the following security features:
Located in a non-descript location just outside the Melbourne CBD.
The facility is manned 24/7 , 365 days a year.
Protected by 24 full color CCD cameras that are constantly recording to hard disk stored for a period of two weeks. These cameras are placed at every entry/exit point throughout the building and other key areas.
All visitors need government issued photo ID to enter premises. This ID is then cross-referenced against specified client access lists.
Access is limited to only necessary areas and client passes do not leave the site.
All clients and visitors must sign an NDA upon their first visit to the facility.
NGA.NET equipment is installed in four locked cabinets; only necessary Network Operations Center (NOC) staff have key access.
Only specific NGA.NET staff are authorized to attend the data centre
The data centre features the typical services such as redundant power (twin UPS c/w phase sync and twin generators), air conditioning/filtering and multi provider high speed internet links.
